I want to help you understand champagne, choose it well, and enjoy it to the fullest.
I am a journalist with one great passion: champagne.
Born and raised in Rome, in 2007 I moved to Paris where it’s often champagne time and where I got hooked on this exquisite wine and party drink.
Curious by nature, I wanted to learn about champagne but also about its world and the people behind it. My approach in my work has always been getting the information from the source, at the top. For this, I came up with this blog and asked to meet and interview the presidents and chief winemakers of the best Champagne houses.
Luck was my companion, and I spent the last 10 years in and out of the Champagne region, exploring its vineyards, meeting its finest producers, visiting their production facilities and cellars, and tasting their wines with them. And in 2019 I decided it was time for me to relocate to Epernay–the capital of Champagne–semipermamently.
After so many visits, interviews, and tastings, I have developed a thorough understanding of champagne. But I keep on learning new things at every meeting and I love and enjoy champagne every day more because I understand and appreciate it better.
I love to share what I have learned, and the ideas of these producers, with you and other champagnes aficionados, so that you will also boost your champagne experience: you will choose very consciously, understand better, and enjoy even more!
