Located in the heart of Seminyak on the bustling Jalan Laksmana, with well over a hundred bottles on the menu, Red Carpet offers the largest variety of champagnes in Indonesia, and possibly in Asia. The abundant variety of houses include Moët & Chandon, Veuve Clicquot, Roederer, Pol Roger and Charles Heidsick to name a few, as well as special cuvées like Dom Pérignon, Armand de Brignac and Salon to accommodate even the most distinguished connoisseurs. The establishment takes its name from the red carpet running its way through the bar, where a casual and fun atmosphere can become unexpectedly wild late at night. The bar also boasts an impressive cigar menu. Drinks are served with small plates of a varied menu. Especially for those champagne pairing, the bar provides a choice of three styles oysters flown in fresh from Australia three times per week, salads and pastas – like their signature “Angel hair Pasta.” The cocktail list is extensive but not as extensive as their champagne list!
Metis Restaurant is without any doubt, one of the best and most stylish restaurant in Bali, as well as one of the hippest bar to start your night out in Seminyak. French chef and co-owner Nicolas “Doudou” Tourneville, formerly of Kafe Warisan, delivers a combination of impeccable service and an outstanding French Mediterranean cuisine. The T-bone steak is simply divine. The ambiance is nothing short of class with its varnished parquets and batik Indonesians tissues. Every Friday Metis hosts ‘apero-chic,’ where small plates are paired with either champagne, cocktails or a selection of fine wines. Champagne by the “stem” include Duval-Leroy Brut and Billecart-Slamon, both Rosé and Blanc de Blancs. Yet, for champagne lovers, Saturday’s ‘Champagne and pearls’ is the ideal choice when a selection of champagnes is paired with caviar that can be enjoyed on the wide terrace of the restaurant, overlooking beautiful rice paddies. The quality of the champagnes by the bottle is nothing but impressive, with top cuvées like Dom Pérignon, Krug, Cristal, Salon and Armand de Brignac as well as connoisseur champagnes like Burno Paillard. The bar gets busy after the sunset with an international hip crowd, steered by co-owner and Managing Director Said Alem. Several nights per week, guest DJs play electro/house music at the bar until late at night when Said decides it’s time to move the party to the next venue.
Petitenget is one of the busiest spots in Seminyak. The restaurant offers breakfast, lunch and dinner in a modern, French bistro décor. They serve the perfect blend of Balinese and European cuisine made with fresh and carefully selected ingredients. On Friday evenings there is a live DJ and the bar gets very busy with a lively international crowd. Some of the champagne offered include: Billecart-Salmon, Moët & Chandon, Veuve Clicquot and Louis Roederer. Petitenget regularly organises wine as well as champagne tastings.
Located along Nusa Dua’s beach, on Bali’s southeastern coastline, St. Regis is one of the best resorts of the island. The St. Regis offers its guests 4 different restaurants and 2 bars all gathered around a swimmable saltwater lagoon. Every Sunday the lavish Astor Diamond Champagne Brunch at Kayuputi restaurant offers specialties of the finest Asian inspired haute cuisine. The King Cole Bar, continuing St. Regis New York’s legacy of the original King Cole Bar, hosts every evening an exclusive and intimate social experience: The Champagne Hours. On the bar’s terrace you will indulge in champagne (Louis Roederer Brut NV at the time of writing) and a rich assortment of complimentary canapés, accompanied by live jazz tunes. The exceptional wine list brought by sommelier and MW Harald Wiesmannof includes world acclaimed champagnes as well as connoisseur cuvées like Jacquesson 734.
Ku De Ta, on the beach front of Seminyak is one the trendiest places in the area and certainly one of the best known. The venue includes a restaurant, bar and beach club to accommodate guests at any time of day. Ku De Ta boasts an excellent breakfast of eggs Benedict, fresh fruit, and coffee. The lunch and dinner menu stay true to traditional Balinese cuisine. The wine list include a brilliant range of champagnes from top Houses such as Billecart-Salmon, Laurent Perrier, Veuve Clicquot, Taittinger, Pol Roger, Roederer, Dom Pérignon, Krug as well as more connoisseur houses like Bruno Paillard and Barons de Rothshild. Ku De Ta is a great place to meet other travelers, all while sipping champagne along the beach as the sunsets.
Potato Head beach club in Seminyak comes from the joint venture of international art collectors, Ronald Akili and Jason Gunawan. The concept behind this club was to be part art gallery, part lounge bar and part beach club. The venue encompasses three restaurants with distinct personalities and a bar plus a lounge in the grass that extends to the pool, facing the sea. A selection of handcrafted cocktails along with wines and major champagne brands is served throughout the club. The venue will soon include a boutique hotel.
Located in Semyniak, the restaurant is unique in its mix of art and fine dining. Guests can dine while viewing an eclectic array of jewels entirely designed by restaurant’s owner Luke Stockley. The restaurant and café offers gourmet tasting dishes with a strong champagne list to match. The selection of champagnes brands include: Pol Roger, Louis Roderer, Billecart-Salmon, Duval Leroy, Veuve Cliquot and Dom Pérignon. Jemme Restaurant and Cafe is a good place to experiment with original dishes and cocktails, enjoying a selection of fine champagnes and shopping for some exquisitely unique, hand crafted jewellery. On weekends a DJ take control of the console overseeing the restaurant.
This top floor lounge and bar on the beachfront in Seminyak assures good time. Especially thanks to the music played by resident DJs at sunset. On the fourth floor rooftop, guests can enjoy Spanish tapas or one of the several innovative cocktails while reclining on oversized day beds.
