According to Pernod Ricard, the Group controlling Perrier-Jouët and G.H. Mumm, both Champagne Houses registered sales increases in the financial year 2013/2014.

Perrier-Jouët posted a strong increase in net sales of +16% and +9% in volume.

G.H. Mumm posted a more limited increase of +2% in net sales and +1% in volume.

Commenting on the results, Philippe Guettat, President of G. H. Mumm et Perrier-Jouët indicated that Pernod Ricard approach is to continue expanding in new markets, while avoiding discounted prices on its champagnes.

In a recent interview by the French newspaper L’Union with Alexandre Ricard, Deputy Chief Executive Officer & Chief Operating Officer of Pernod Ricard, the Group is aggressively expanding in Africa, Asia and South America, where champagne fits in perfectly with this strategy.

In Africa Mumm is among the champagne leading brands in Angola, Nigeria and South Africa.

Pernod Ricard is listed on the NYSE Euronext exchange (Ticker: RI; ISIN code: FR0000120693) and is a  member of the CAC 40 index.
